San Diego’s Ass Pocket Whiskey Fellas bring a high-energy mix of Irish traditional, Americana, bluegrass, country, and classic rock to every show. With a reputation for rousing, crowd-pleasing performances, the Fellas have become a favorite Irish pubs, large festivals and outdoor events. Expect plenty of audience participation, big sing-alongs, and a setlist with something for just about everyone.
Founded in the summer of 2011 by San Diego rock veterans Jack Laux, Steve Hoshko, and George Davis, the Ass Pocket Whiskey Fellas set out to explore the musical connections between Irish tradition and Americana music. The idea was simple: take the energy and attitude of a rock band and deliver it entirely with acoustic instruments.
Fifteen years later, that original spirit is still going strong. Today's Fellas lineup still features Jack, Steve, Philippe, but newer players are Larry, Floyd, Ethan, and Cool Jack Hoole. Now bringing you their unique blend of Irish traditional, Americana, bluegrass, country, and classic rock to stages throughout San Diego and beyond.

The Fellas are proud to share that their third CD, Third Flagon, has won the prestigious 2023 San Diego Music Awards' "Best Local Recording". The Fellas have all three of their albums, including Second Pint and First Flask, available on Amazon and iTunes. They have their own music station featured on Pandora as well.
In 2027, the Fellas are hitting the road, bringing their high-energy show to events, clubs, and music festivals throughout the Western U.S. And if all goes as planned, we’ll take the Fellas—and our fans—international with a special trip to Ireland.
